I stay so busy doing longarm quilting for clients that I rarely take the time to make a quilt for myself. It's been such a long, hot & dry summer here in Central Texas that I decided to make a Fall quilt for my shop. I took a bunch of pictures of some of the steps I took to make this quilt and turned them into the slideshow you see above. It takes a lot of planning, patience, math, sewing knowledge (and sometimes pain) to make a quilt from scratch and that is why I admire anyone that gives it a try. I love helping first time quilters because I truly know where they are coming from. It's October 15, 2022 as I am typing this and it is 92 degrees here in Central Texas. Sure am looking forward to Fall!
